Arrival into Uganda and pick up from the Entebbe international airport. Accommodation at Imperial Botanical Hotel . We shall later head for a group dinner at 6:00 pm at Café Javas. The café is located at the Mall so clients who wish to change some money to local currency can still do it there. (Half Board – Breakfast & dinner)
After breakfast, start your journey at 7:30am travelling South West of Entebbe. It will take you approximately 9 / 8 hours to reach Bwindi which is roughly 562 Kilometers from Entebbe . Our first stop will be at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe which is one of the most known landmarks. The Equator is an imaginary line that divides the earth into North and South Pole. At this point, you stand with one feet in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern hemisphere.
We shall later have a lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Museum. Continue with the drive through savannah grasslands, herds of long horned Ankole cattle to the Kigezi highlands commonly known as the “Switzerland of Africa” because of the beautiful green cover. The zig zaggling roads up the hills of Kisoro provide you with a wonderful scenery of how blessed Uganda is. The drive will go for roughly 4 hours to get to Rushanga in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Accomodation at Gorilla Safari Lodge ( Half board at lodge – breakfast & Dinner)

After briefing from the Ranger guide, traverse to the Gorilla sanctuary to start tracking these lovely creatures. It takes approximately 2 hours to find the gorillas based on where they are located and after you spend 1 hour observing and taking pictures. The time you spend observing these endangered species is worth a trip to any part of the world and can never be forgotten. Clients are expected to have enough drinking water, good hiking shoes, rain jackets in case it rains, gloves if necessary, long sleeved clothes. Time spent with these Gorillas is very priceless. After tracking, transfer back to the lodge for a complete relaxation to immerse in nature. (Full Board . Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, you will set off for your journey to Lake Bunyonyi at 10:00am one of the best places to be in Uganda for a one night before proceeding back to Entebbe. Lake Bunyonyi is undoubtedly the loveliest lake in Uganda with 29 islands surrounded by steep terraced hillsides reminiscent of parts of Nepal and also appears on the 5000 Shilling note for Uganda. Bunyonyi becomes more magical in the morning as the mist rises off the placid water. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages Lake Bunyonyi ( Full board – Breakfast & lunch , Dinner at Arcadia Cottages )
