Day 1: Arrival at International Airport Airport

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our guide will be waiting to welcome you to the Land of Thousand Hills, be briefed about the tour expectations and plans then we will set off for a tour in Kigali City guide who will drive you via the city of Kigali to the Volcanoes National Park. Time allowing, you will go for a nature walk around your lodge before retiring for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to The Park Headquarters for Gorilla Trekking

Wake up very early in the morning (as early as 04:30 am) to have an early breakfast and start your journey to the Park headquarters in Ruhengeri. This is a 2-3 hours journey, and we arrive here at around08:00 am to be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. The gorilla trekking experience is a 1-6 hours exercise after which, you will be transferred to the lodge for your afternoon lunch and later be taken for a community nature walk and in the evening, you will have a retreat at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Cultural Visit to the Iby’Iwacu cultural village

Early in the morning, you wake up to a tasty breakfast and start your second-day cultural tour with a drive to the Iby’wacu cultural village where you get to participate in real life with the people here having the opportunity to taste the local foods and locally brewed wines. You will participate in cultural activities such as storytelling, singing and dancing around a campfire and spend the night in a traditional hut. We spend the night here and prepare for the next day gorilla trekking activity to end the 3 Days Rwanda cultural tour in style

Day 4: Musanze Caves Tour

You wake up, have a tasty breakfast, and then our guide will transfer to the Musanze caves where you wait to experience a unique experience of amazing bats of different types as you enjoy the scenic views of the twin lakes of lake Burera and Ruhondo eyes gazing at the wildlife attractions surrounding you. The day proceeds with a lunch break and then, later on, hike to the Karisoke Research Center established by Dian Fossey, here you learn about this American Primatologist who loved the gorillas like no other. We end the day with a drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Nyanza “The King’s Palace” Visit

After your breakfast, The guide will drive you to visit Nyanza, a historical seat of the ancient Rwandan kings where you will learn about the ancient traditional practices of the Rwanda people and then, later on, you will drive to Butare, A Rwanda cultural center for another cultural and historical experience. In the evening, experience the cultural performances of the Batwa people with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans, their art of pottery as well as singing, drumming and dancing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Rwanda Genocide Memorial Tour

After breakfast, you will visit genocide memorial sites in Rwanda where thousands of innocent people in Rwanda lost their lives during the genocide of 1994 tragedy. You will hear touching narratives of how people were cruelly put to death on ethnic grounds. After that, you will have lunch and then transfer to Lake Kivu for relaxation at Gisenyi beach and later on, in the evening, you will retire to one of the lodges around Lake Kivu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Departure to Kigali

Have breakfast at midmorning, then drive to Kigali to catch your departure flight. Lunch will be treated en route.
